Does it get in the passenger's way too much?

Is it made from scratch, or is it a bit of this and a bit of that?

I just did the lazy version and bought a RAM one  :D

Yours does look a little high up and might obscure visibility.... or it might be deceptive from the photo. Managed to get the RAM one low enough in the 110 so that the screen barely protrudes above the dash. I just leave the bottom mount in normally and slot the strut and tray in when needed.

Right then i made it from an old bed table and some bit of metal lying around. Thats how i got the angles and movement. it's fully adjusts and even folds flat, or can be removed completly. It's not in the way of the passenger  much just that the main bar comes up the side of console but still loads of room. I have some rubber straps to hold it from jumping of in the ruff stuff. About the police it does not obscurer your view at all but don't now what they would say at night with it lighting up the cab.
As for making them have a go your self you be surprise how easy it is.
If you need some better pic's i can take it out and do some no problem.
