what price my 90?
« on: December 08, 2005, 19:07:39 »
thinking about selling/part-ex the 90 and upgrading to a disco but need some advice.

I'm not sure realy what the 90 is worth. I paid 3k back in march and bought it as box standard van sided farm wagon but since then have spent at least 1k on various bits (see below for spec)
Does anyone have any kind of idear what I could expect to sell the 90 for?

I've been offered 2k as part-ex against this little beauty

http://www.rdseng.co.uk/images/Disco505forsale.jpg

but still leaves me £1500 short (my bank manager hates me so loan isnt an option)

the 90 is an '84 A reg with 2.25 N/A diesel but is in very good condition - the gear box is all fine the chasis is solid etc etc

going to look at a bobtailed disco on sunday owned by the guy I bought the 90 off originaly but its been in his yard since I was there last. He has said he's got a V8 disco but want something can use on a daily basis without having to sell a kidney

any idears  :?:

Been here before methinks, get yourself a LR spec sheet -the 90 has allmost perfect approach and departure angles + wheelbase 90-92 is proven and copied by most major manufacturers, Disco is too much everything  hieght, width, length, weight, overhang front/back and so on and so on etc etc , just take a look at comp results for last 20yrs , sorry m8 cant argue against FACTS ,
