Get a proper ECU chip change or re-flash (depending on model year)... by somebody who knows what there doing!!!

Interupter boxes just confuse the fuel injector pulse width, they cock up  the timing - thus where cylinder peak pressure occurs and often dump to much fuel in at the wrong place which ramps up the EGT - resulting in warped exhaust manifolds or worse.

Often fitted with blue scotch lock connectors - which shows how good they are!!!

Often cause 'no-starts' (i.e. engine won't start) or mill light's to be illuminated.

Don't like turbo boost pressure increases either... which is a shame as even a standard TD5 goes better with a higher boost pressure!!!

Jeremy Fearn users tend to report a massive gain in power, but also in my experience have a tendency to report warped exhaust manifolds.

In fact I've heard of about 4-5 TD5 users with this problem and all of them have had JJF upgrades.

If you can live with this, then fine (cutting the webbing between the ducts helps), but if not you might want to go for a more moderate upgrade.

JE Engineering get trusted to do quite a bit of work for Land Rover which is never a bad thing....

And AFAIK they have never had a single engine faliure resulting from one of their 'tunes'.

If if was for a pre 2002 upgrade Td5, I could also suggest somebody else, but at the moment he can't do the later flash type ECU's.

i would suggest the dastek system for a plug in setup & the auto logic tune for the programable ecu systems,

drivin both & will make a freebie & disco into a giggle machine,the newer the vehicle the mor eit improves it

twisted peformance do a new one called gust they re-program the ecu with their laptop softwere. He claims to give more power than any of the chips

FWIW, mine had a non-reprogrammable ECU, but Autologic included a new, programmable ECU with my upgrade as part of the package.  And I got to keep the old one too, as a spare, so it worked out well all round.

Ive got one of the Twisted Performance Hurricane chips..... Its very nice, i didnt want much... just a little more go! It pulls better, and drives nicely! I have found that i also dont have to change gear as much... Fuel consuption hasnt really changed either i dont think!

It was a plug-in chip too, but came with the proper ECU connectors, so you dont have to chop or scotch lock onto existing wires, looks like its a part of the wiring harness!

Got one of their exhausts too... it sounds GREAT  :D  especially with the chip
