Bus Lanes

Do people not read the restriction signs??

I went into Wakefield after work this afternoon for a while.
On the way home I came down the (A638) Doncaster Road (which passes the Wakefield Trinity r*gby ground)

As I crossed the Canal cut (that avoids the Chantry Bridge weir on the River Calder), the road has a designated bus-lane.
Result; standing traffic for over 800yards in the right hand lane

So what does your truely do??
Drives into the bus-lane & cuts past all the 800 yards  & gets kindly waved in as it narrows back to one lane, missing out on a snarled up 10minute wait.
All because I seemed to be the only one capable of reading a sign that states
Buses Only (+ pedal-cycles)
Monday -Friday
16:00 - 18:00

Therefore no restrictions at other times, I'm sure there were plenty of tut's as a dirty great 4x4 uses the bus-lane

But my answer would be (as would yours?)
Read The Bl**dy Signs!!!

I use a bus lane when going in to Birminghan. If any one knows selly oak (not miss or mrs..lol) then they probley know the one i wil tell you about.
This bus lane is from 7pm to 7 am not and i got pulled one morning by the police for using it.. what did i do will.....when asked if i always use bus lanes i said well yes i do ... the police officer said i am going to report your for using a bus lane and i will have to take my docks to a police station .. you know how its goes..

I waited untill she wrote out the ticket ripped it from her book, took it off her.. chucked it on the back seat and said what time is it.. to which she replied its  3.22 (yep in the morning) to which i replied  when you become a police officer do they teach you to read. she looked at me as if ive gone off as i said this buse lane is only a bus lane between the hrs of 0700 in the morning and 1900  and as it 0330 then i am in my rights to use it and if you saw/read the sign your will know that...goodmorning have a nice day .. and drove off .
never heard anything since.
