What's your average type of driving Jake?

Mine seems to struggle to get 380 out of a tank (general day-today driving)!? Approx 75 - 80 Litres to top up from the red.

I typically do 30 - 40 minute drives on A roads upto 60mph.

'95 300TDi Manual

Do a pretty regular trip down into Hampshire from West Yorkshire of about 425miles all round.

Usually just before hitting the red by the time I get home so saying 450miles average(excluding the red).

Thats on the M1, M25, M4 and a bit of back-laning near my destination.

I can live with that, it cost me quite a bit more in the old Toyota.

i've just filled up. got 450 miles before filling up, mostly motorway and A roads not including the reserve, warning light...
the reason i was asking is i had the thermostat changed last week where i was struggling to get 400 miles on the same conditions.

I get about 400 from my 200Tdi, but I am not kind on the old right foot!

The difficulty with this question is that even the standard tank varies alot in size from vehicle to vehicle.  Measuring the mpg is the only accurate way.  I get about 28 mpg.

mine works out at around 26-28 mpg average

dont no tank size and aint doing the maths, get around 400-450 miles

depends on how much time it spends in low box as well really, gets used off road alot
