Disco parts seem to have a good deal on rock sliders and for an extra £25 they'll fit the tree slider bar

I got mine (with tree guards) from W&H Wheelcarriers. They made them to fit my vehicle cos I've got wheelarch flares fitted.
They are fixed to the sills & chassis and are galvanised with a black coating.

I have First 4x4 side sills.  They are excellent  :D  Extremely well built (not simple box section steel) and spread/bolted to the outriggers.  They are southdown design built under license.  Only problem is that they are expensive  :(  Ã‚£285!!!!

Discoparts supplied me with some a while back which didn't fit my 3dr. Lovely bit of kit but they didn't fit. So I returned them. I'm sure Mark can do you a 5 door set that do fit.  One word of warning tho' (Positive & Negative) with treesliders they are CHUFFIN heavy :-)

And yes they are HEAVY - made of 90x50x3.6mm main box, 40x40x3mm tree slider bar, and mounting plates (full length od sill) are made of 4mm  :o

Sorry Bobtail, forgot to say the make, :oops:  Mr Casey is nearly right. They are his rock sliders (Disco Parts), but with out the added tree slider, and so have holes for a farm jack or similar. As Mark said they are heavy but seem to be well made and robust so should do the job as intended.

I did think about going for the tree slider but I wanted the ability to use a jack if ever needed plus I have a plan to use the jack holes to mount my side steps for normal day to day use as SWMBO is verticaly challenged. But still have the option to remove the steps when out in the muddy stuff.

I hope you continue to sell them Mark as I said above, lovely bit of kit. It was a shame the 'whole' experience didn't go well for me. Have you made the alterations to allow them to fit a 3 dr now?

Try heaving them onto a roofrack, then you'll know how heavy they are! :shock:

They certainly look the part, though. Mine don't actually have the holes for a hi-lift, but I'm sure that I could use the tree bar to jack up on ...

ive got rebel sliders for my 3door  but drilled the the holes on a slant so it catched the door boo but they are good for the price i got them at malvern for 130 [/b]

I have been looking at prices and they are a little bit more than i expected

nearly £300 delivered as i want tree sliders

so they will have too wait for now..other things must come first

hi ,i took mine off as i was loosing ground clearance  and grinding out ,got 2 inch risers as well ,food fo thought

You shouldn't loose any more than about an inch of ground clearance with rock sliders, normal side-steps yes, but rocksliders/tree bars are designed to replace the standard plastic sills and shouldn't drop much lower than that.

What type did you have?

With ours you loose about 1/2" of clearance, if that.

I've got the Discoparts ones with tree-slider, had them on a couple of years now,  I like the way they fully enclose the sill.  There pretty substantial,   The slider bar has saved my side panels on a few ocasions, there well scuffed now, my body panels arn't  ;-)

The paint finish is probably as good as it gets . Although mine have  never seen a sponge in two years,   You could even polish them if your a shiney.

I have polished the ones on the Td5 for when attending the shows (and the rear bumper) to give the finish that customers are expecting to see
