Safety with Turtle

Dear all

i visited turtle at his little yard in the country today and i park by the doors to the workshop and he says to me look BIG Blue Still lives  :D

so he turns the engine over and the BIG BLUE shoots back in slow kind of way over the rear wheel chock through the garage door and stop's on OLD JOES wing.

Phils face was a treat so was his comment of "WHO LEFT THAT IN GEAR " it wasn't me uncle phil and BOBTAIL hadn't been about  :(bigshock):

fortuanlty there was no damage done to old joe and the garage door just need taking down and walked on to flatten it out and we hung which we did.  :(mad):

so the the copmpensation that came out of today was i got some speakers and some blue inner door thingy muchgigs and my wallet slightly lighter when i pop rund to pay him

so the morale of the story is make sure you use bigger chocks when working on the car  :(biggrin):

with all respect Phil did make me a cup of tea  however it was cold before we thought about drinking it and i suplied my own sugar

I thought for a moment that my post might read along the lines of "Turtle and safety in the same sentence: Don't see that often".

Need some fairly big chocks then.
Don't know how much th standard pressed steel chocks will 'hold'?

COuldn't you raid the nearest airport & get some from under a Boeing?

Let me get this right!

You build these things to go over whatever obstacle you point it at and you consider a couple of small triangular bits of steel is enough to hold it safe?

Now, who has been on the Christmas sherry early?

Didn't take you long to get my misfortunes on the web

I think the only damage done was my pride, must admit it wasn't very funny at the time, now looking back I do have a chuckle. And lucky no more damage was done.

Luckily the steering wheel wasn't turned - otherwise Big Blue would have "turned around"! :(biglaugh):  :(biglaugh):
