Can any one tell me if there is a 3inch+ suspension lift kit out there, all I can find is 2inch for Vitara [ Rhino ], Dont really want to lift the body, We wont be putting huge wheels/tyres on but want decent clearance.
235/75/15 { 30/9.50/15 } Colway MT's will be fitted no White 8 spokes
{ 4x4accessoriesandtyres.com } do a set of 4 wheel/tyre combo for £208+vat. Seems good price to me ????
Thanks
Paul

3" is only available from specialist leasure. at about £1000.00
procomp do a 1.5" lift
1" spring spacers from rocky road in the usa.
2" body lift from rocky road
3" body lift from specialist leasure or overland.
or get 2 " over springs made to order

Looks like I will have to go the body lift way, Will there be any mods to steering/brake lines etc etc, Rhino have a combo set but its about £850, can make my own body lift spacers from off cuts from my own workshop, just wondering if Land Rover springs would be the right diameter/length, would only need to get shocks/brake lines sorted then.

3" body lift will entail longer brake pipes, fuel pipe to the tank, gear leavers, poss hand brake cables.
2" means none of this.
land rover springs wont fit.
try westcoast 4x4 they advertise in 4x4 mart. for springs and shocks.
then with an 1" spring spacer you can get 2.5" suspension lift and with the 2"body lift you could run 31" tyres.

hey mate be careful because one thing often leads to another and you end up buying the whole shebang.
Have a look at my profile and see how mines put together. Extended brake lines are available from pro comp at about £60 (they are braided hoses actually). supertrux do a body lift.
http://www.supertrux.com/
Also, try rubbers on
http://www.rubbers-suzuki.co.uk/
Those land rover springs will probably not fit and you don't need new shocks for the front it is a spacer. The whole lot comes in the pro comp kit good value at £260

Looks very good, like you say one thing leads to another, and that must have cost a small fortune to put together { which I dont have at the moment }.

Don't as much as you would think actually. And you really get your money's worth with these because mine is now a seriously capable off roader. I mean it will do land rovers big time and can compete with the ones that are challenge prepared.
HAVE YOU SEEN HOW MUCH THEY COST!!!
My jeep is worth less than there suspension kits lol.
If you want to do on the cheap then make sure that you do all the work yourself and take it one step at a time. Buy you tools as you need them and keep an eye on ebay. If you can get to the scrappy with a vit in it then try and nick a front axle, propshaft, starter motor for cheap.

Hi Gents
Need some help please.
I want to lift my wife's totally standard Vitara and have won 2" body lift kit and a 1"spring spacer kit off E Bay. Also have some FAT BOY wheels with AT's lined up (dont know what size they are yet).
What can I fit without having to modify brake pipes etc. as we are going to Langdale Quest at the end of the month so I only have 1 weekend to fit goodies.
Eventually I intend doing the job properly with new coils and shocks when money allows
Cheers in advance

you can fit all of it without having to mod to much.
the spring spacers will take about 1 hout to fit and the body lift about 4 hours.
2 of the body mount bolts are under the headlamps , so they have to come out. the rest is fairly simple to do.
have fun.

Thank you very much
Haven't had it long but getting to like it more and more. Parts are cheap aspecially of E Bay and its going to take only 6ish hours to fit bits.
Sounds good to me :D

Tony, 3 inch body isnt all that bad , but like you say 2 inch beats all that,
I did see strut spacers on ebay not so long back . but i found that to get nice clearance a body lift had to be done unless you can make up your own.
I got my latest coils from ww.springcoil.co.uk they were pretty good and helpful , they made me a set of springs 46 cm long and easy to talk to about load rates and such like.
Only other thing to watch is the front cv angles if you go to high on stock winch bones
calmini 3 inch kits come on ebay too at reasable prices
http://www.puresuzuki.com
. this is where a lot comes from

No No puts too much pressure on the front prop and axle. I've got 1.5" pro comp, 1 1/8" spring spacers and 3" body lift. That truck is basically finished now so kinda looking at getting a new project.
I've heard they do vitara blitz kits? You know any thing about them...
