:)  :) Just a thought as I'm sat here by myself with nobody else on this fine Christmas day...the alcohol is beginning to take effect and lessen the pain of lonliness and I'm getting ready to put a Birds Eye menu master for one in the oven....what if !!!

1.Clean the car as best as you can

2.Drive it through all the mud and puddles you can find to really give it  a  covering of mud, particulary underneath

3. By doing this, surely the coating of mud will act as an underseal preventing salt and crud from corroding your bodywork

Just a thought...now I've got to go and put that meal for one in the oven

The only water which would not corrode a vehicle is de-ioninsed water.  Its the dissimilar metals in moisture that sets up an electrical circuit and causes corrosion.

If you cover the bottom of you motor in mud, water will be there too and will make it corrode.

Sorry to hear you are on your own, however !

1. you WILL find the sixpence
2. you will win the cracker prizes
3. you will win the arguments of what to watch on the TV
