i tieid to bleed mine with the pedel but it didnt make much difference to be honest. i found an easy bleed kit alot better, think i paid about £10 from halfrauds for it. it made mine feel better straight away. but it soon returned back to how it was. i changed the slave unit on the side of the gearbox which took me about 20mins. if you open the bonnet and stand on the drivers side and look at the bell housing you will see a bleed nipple sticking out of a cylinder. thats the slave cylinder. i ended up changing the master cylinder 2 days later as that decided to start leaking aswell. dont hesitate to shout if you need anymore advice. to change both is not a huge amount of money

For what they cost i would change both at the same time and put new fluid in , does not matter which you change you allways have to do the other latter

I found the same, went funny one day and I couldn't get it right so I changed the whole lot. Master £27, slave £9 flexi £3 from Paddocks. Still a swine to bleed, try bleeding through the front of the master by slackening off the pipe union before bleeding from the slave.

If it happens again, might be worth looking into changing the seals in the master cylinder and slave cylinder, its not too difficult to do. I had a Morris Marina many, many, many years ago this happened to, The clutches "biting point" just got lower and lower but you could pump the pedal and it would get higher. Changed the seals in the slave cylinder, took an hour or so and it was back as good as new.
