Got up de-iced left for work, got about half a mile and noticed no revs in engine, will not go past 2000.
Thinking air in fuel, got her recovered home, managed to reverse her into a space to work on in low revs.
Tried to bleed air out of fuel filter from top and bottom bleeds, nothing their. Took filter off empty with LandyLoony for support and assistance.
Primed and replaced with a new filter run for a couple of minutes and then same again, checked filter again empty.
Hmmm waxing fuel the next thought, warmed the tank with help from smudgersmiffs exhaust and a hose pipe ( no not committing hari kari)
Tried starting filter off at last fuel coming through if very slowly. Bled off the air but still not getiing past 2000 revs!!
No obvious breaks in the fuel lines tomorrow going to warm the tank up completly somehow. Thinking cheap supermarket fuel has waxed and caused a blockage and until fuel complety warm will not clear until then.
Anyone got any other ideas???????

Might be a bit of water in the system and froze up, it can build up sometimes in the bottom of the tank, and then freeze over the pipe end, if you can drain the tank through a drain plug, might be worth doing it, other than than get some emusifier additive which would disperse the water, allowing it to be burned through with the fuel

Could be an air leak, I have had this before, minute hole bleeding tiny amounts of air in, affected starting, used to take half a minute to get her to start up and revs just wouldn't go above 2500 RPM. What I did was get hold of one of those small plastic inline filters like they used on old Ford Sierras. Put that inline in the system and you can see the air bubbles. Good thing is you can mover the filter around the system and locate the leak.
