Adjusting Steering.
« on: December 30, 2005, 11:26:09 »
Right as many of you know I had a rush job to replace the 2 bent bars on the 110, a couple of days ago. All done no real problem, and fitted Dan Bars (toughened sleeves over the bars).

However now I could do with fine tuning the setup a bit. If I remember correctly the procedure is to, slacken the clamps and rotate the bar to get the right setting, then tighten the clams again.

Well that's all well and good but how do I rotate the bars now that I've fitted dan-bars??

The only thing I can think of is to remove the grease nipple, and put a bolt in, to clamp the bars together while I'm doing it, then put the nipple back in when I've finished.

The above procedure appears to have worked well.
