I want to capture a page from a site and send it as an attachment not a link if that makes sense can you do that and if so how

If it's a screen grab then just print screen and then open paint and hit paste.

If it's more involved and a full html page then you should be able to save the page as html and then send it.
(I've never done it though other than saved it locally)

Internet Explorer.

When you are on the page that you want to send,  then go to the top of your screen and click on 'File'
You will see 'Send  >' about 9 lines down.
Hover your cursor over it and 'Page by E-mail' will come up.
Click and send to your recipient.

Press PrintScreen button on your keyboard, it will take the whole screen to the clipboard.

From there you just need to open a graphics package and usually on the File or Edit menu there is a New from clipboard.  Then just save as and attach

Alt+PrintScreen will do the same but ONLY capture the active window and not the whole screen.
