One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.

THE AA is not as it used to be due to these people

http://www.cvc.com/home/

they bought the company in 2004 and promptly made it what it is with cuts in staff and vehicles so they can sell it on at a great product in 2 or 3 years time

Having worked for ther AA it was a great organisation note "great" when it was a stand alone company employees considered it not a job but membership of a club and put people 1st.
This was until it was aquired bya corpoation that also own british gas in my opinon having been there at the time it all wnet down hill from there long before it was sold on again.
Just an insiders view (don't work there no more)

Without even reading the link, I can guess it's about the member who died & his family asked for help in moving his car??

They really cocked it up over the human side of this, it might be (slightly)understandable if it was a computer generated bill for membership, but not an over the phone conversation

The joy of the breakdown services, they are all the same and thoes of us with older vehicles are stuck with whatever one of them we use, most won't cover older vehicles unless you are already a member.  not good for Landrover owners!
