BUY ONE!

Its great when you glance down halfway down an incline, and see it pinned against its stop(indicating 45 degrees) and you know its been there all the way down.
Go on....cut me in half........it says SUZUKI all the way thru the middle!!

i wouldnt worry too much as most rolls seem to take an age to go over -you will have enough time to get out and take a pic,

Hmmm not likely,BTDTGT had enough time to wonder why the cage was bending & windscreen was moving & ohh look, the horizon is up there

Please excuse my ignorance once again but what's

BTDTGT ??

I occasionally give off-road rides 'for charity', and some folks just have to bring the video camera with them ...

You lose the effect of the slopes (the gradients - I avoid any serious side slopes like the plague with a car load of inexperienced passengers) on the telly upon playback, so I've fitted one to the middle of the dash.

Not much practical use to me as a driver, though ...

by the time you have looked how far you are over, the sphincter should be already telling you ,you are falling over they are a gimic as every thing in the vehicle and around it changes and you might make a certain side slope one day and roll on it another, just by the weather changing or a few pounds more of weight in the wrong place.  and most rolls occur due to driver error in ground reading and speed.... put the money towards some training, basic ground reading helps more than a dial telling you, you are on the start of a roll
everything in the path of life becomes clear when you get the wipers working .....................mmmmm then theres the washer bottle motor DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH

I bought one for the 90 and I can honestly say it's an amazing piece of equipment and an absolutely necessary piece of kit that I wouldn't dream of being without.

Have I ever had need to use it, or the bottle to move my head a fraction to look at it and see how far over I was?........... never!!!!! but then I never seem to need an excuse to spend another £20 on yet another must have gimic

Spend the money......... you know you want to....
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. If it ain't dirty, do something about it!!

Yeah, I know it's not white and it's not a 90 but my last one was :-)

I fitted one to Piglet for the benefit of the passengers :-) I've never looked at it on a sideslope....however - it is *very* amusing when you have a V8 :-)

Foot, throttle, watch the nose of the vehicle on the device point at the sky!

<giggle>

No practical use other than as I say, to scare passengers :-)

There was a rumour that it was re-opening, but sadly nothing seems to have come of it, apparently the quarry is earmarked to be a landfill site; a sad loss of a beautiful off road playground IMO :(sulk):

Pointless bit of kit in my opinion.

1) You shouldn't be looking at a guage... you should be looking at where you are going

2) Every vehicle has a different tilt angle, and unless you know what yours is...  the guage is meaningless

3) You need to feel the vehicle...   if you need a guage to tell you if you are about to roll it, then you've already gone too far.

Dam you beat me too it!!!!!

I've never really done any serious side slopes - but the ones I have done felt so wierd
I had heard that the thing that freaks people out about 4x4 driving most is the side ways angle they can take - In that case an inclinometer would be helpful to know that the vehicle can do approx 45º and when you find that your 'uncomfortable slope' is 12º you might feel a little more relaxed about it   - So, if anyone is giving one away count me in Sarge

By the way - what is the protocol for steep side slopes? - try to stay upright wrt to gravity, in line with the vehicle or slump against any supporting object available (door, armrest - wife   )?

Cheers
