10 spline halfshafts
« on: January 07, 2006, 21:40:24 »
hi,
Redoing the brake disks today and noticed the 10 spline shafts. It got me thinking. Are these strong enough or do i need 24 spline. Im currently running with jt2s with no locker.
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

Pierre.

You'll be fine with the 10 spline

The 24 are stronger as the force is distributed more evenly throught the shaft BUT they still snap!

Personally I run 24 but I do comps and run a locker with Simex ET's.

The other big advantage of 10 spline is that they are much much easy to get your hands on when you need a spare and alot cheaper.

Stick with 10, you'll be fine
