MOT Questions
« on: January 09, 2006, 20:45:50 »
OK, it time for the 2a to go into the testing station to get a ticket.  Couple of questions before i book the test.  Firstly, do i need the passenger side sliding window, it has the solid bit but the sliding bit is missing, and do i need a tub floor?  Any help would be appreciated.

Window wont make any difference, floor not sure about

You could always drop a piece of plywood in there if it does

I'd say the same - don't think the floor should be a problem - a lot depends on how good the rest of it is/how well you know the tester (if the rest of it is rough, he'll look for reasons to fail it,  some testers are more 'realistic' than others!)

just put some metal over the whole and fill the area up with landy stuff.

I found out that with people movers, if you take the seats out they dont have to check those seat belts. Also I had a load of stuff on the back seat in my rover once and they never checked the seat belts then so loading the area big time will make them not aware of it unless you can see from underneath that there is a whole but say it is another skin over the top.

window should make no diference what so ever.

With almost all series they aren't classed in the mot for seatbelts anyway, especially in the rear
