CSWs seem to attract quite a premium, as far as I can tell a 90 CSW has got some wnidows and seats.. I'm guessing I can bolt extra seats into a 'van' top, and extra windows would be nice for the occasional round town. Ebay being my friend here I guess too.
County - defines a vehicle with a higher trim level....
There are 6 variants of a 90 (virtually the same for the 110" - except station wagon and CSW have 5 doors)
Truck Cab.
Has vinyl seats and rubber floor mats (basic spec) - and has a headlining.
County Truck Cab. (quite rare)
Still a truck cab (with the same headlining) but has material (i.e. cloth) seats rather than vinyl and has carpets in foot well, over transmission cover and on seatbox - instead of the rubber matting.
Hard Top (basic)... plain van sides i.e. no side windows
Has a front headling only (over driver and passenger), no apline lights, vinyl seats and rubber matting (in footwells, seat box etc etc) - has the option of upgrade to include the rear section of headlining.
Doesn't always have RWW or a HRW (rear wash wipe and a heated rear window)
County Hard Top
As above, except has material/cloth seats, front carpets and alpine lights -also has the option of a roof appointment kit - which includes the rear section of headling. Has RWW and a HRW
Station Wagon.
Has windows in the rear panels, rear seats (usually bench) and vinyl seats and rubber matting front and rear.
Has alpine lights and full length headlining and is usually trimmed around the rear windows.
Usually has RWW and a HRW
County Station Wagon.
Has rear windows, apline lights in roof...
Material (cloth) seats, carpets front and back, full length headling, trims around rear windows and four independant rear seats (with seatbelts). Has RWW and a HRW and usually a sunroof.
These are the main/basic differences, however there are more smaller items.
I thought that on earlier models it was different as well, further back or something similar? Am I thinking of 110s?
All 90's have had a rear bulkhead up untill 1998/1999 when the 50th Anniversary V8's were launched, they were the first UK defenders not to have a bulkhead (which has always been in the same place).
Then from around 2000/2001 the CSW recieved a reinforced rear tub, with the rear bulkhead removed - increasing legroom and driver comfort.
110 Station Wagons and 110 County Station wagons have never had a bulkhead behind the driver and passenger or behind the second row of seats (except the 110 Double Cab)
