heres a bit of history.the car belongs to my friend lee.as you can see it has had a lot of offroad action so far and has paid the price.apart from the mud terrain tyres it is completly standard, but still very capable.
the plan is to ready the vehicle for this event.

http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=17401

now he has just spent a few quid at devon 4 x 4 and other landrover outlets.

work should begin this weekend if all goes well.i promise lots of photos this time.

first step today was to try and create more room under the wheel arches.

involved putting a 5 door arch kit on which is very fiddly.lee has done so much damage to his rear wings that as you see we coulnt finish it off today.

well the front ones are easy(like doing my three door).
hold arch against wing..draw line around,,draw a line about 30 mm lower,,and cut.easy

but with the back doors you have to cut the outer skin,,then the inner skin,,then the wheel arch.
although the instructions given are quite clear (once youve read them for a week  )
you still have to trim little bits here and there off the door and the arches to make them fit nicely.
personally i think that if the part of the kit that went on the rear doors was not in one piece that covers inner and outer door, but in two pieces,it would be easier.
then you have to cut the back wing,,which is the same as doing the front wings,,easy
