90 Chassis Price
« on: January 25, 2006, 17:00:49 »
My boss has a 90 chassis which he is thinking about selling has anybody got a idea what sort of price he should be asking for it. Its in VERY good order and he is on about throwing in a Waxoil if its going to be worth it. The chassis stands him at alot of money but its taking up room.

Can I have some ideas of what price it should be....

Really depends, if it is just a chassis, then quite probably not alot, if it comes with axles and drivetrain then its worth alot more.  Does it have a V5?

The last chassis I sold was a used but good condition 1970's RRC for a tenner on Ebay.

Would be worth more to the right person, but seeing as I bought the whole car for just £300 then it wasn't too bad.

Regards

I would say no to the V5 as its been pulled to bits along time ago. The chassis is just a chassis but there is a fuel tank on it. The complete thing is in fantastic condition. Very slight surface rust in select places.
I think some photos would be a better idea dont you think....

Without a V5 it's virtually worthless. Anyone changing the chassis on their car will get an instant request for SVA and a Q plate if they use a second-hand chassis. The only way to avoid this is to buy a new replacement chassis direct from a business supplier and produce the receipt.

It's worth whatever anyone wants to pay for it, but you may find some mug who doesn't understand DVLA requirements and the new VOSA computerised MOT system yet..!

This is just going to get harder and harder in the coming 3 years.

If it had a V5 and chassis is in good condition it's worth £250 all day long.
