pickup load cover
« on: January 31, 2006, 21:20:21 »
been thinking about the 90 pickup.. some kind person has pop riveted the entire rear area with checquer palte, which effectively gives a flat load area under which is the spare wheel.  It's kind of nice because it puts anything under out of side and i could lock the tail gate if needs be.

The problem with this is any tool that I put in there will end up at the far end out of reach, as the chequer plate is pop riveted down it's far from practical.... So that has given me a few ideas - cut the chequer plate down the middle and hinge it and put a hasp and staple in the middle to lock it... or what might be even better is some kind of solid load cover that goes over at the top of the pickup sides but that can be removed.

So that brings me nicely to ask - are there any commericial sollutions or has anyone done this and have a few pics that I could use to copy?

Thanks
Matthew

I know the people who make the draws - after seeing their prices I made my own locker for the disco!  :)

I have seen various different types of covers for trailers from material types to wooden to metal. I dont know if it is worth looking up trailer covers in google. You never know there maybe one that fits perfectly.
