With the correct tools, quite an easy job...

Without the correct tools... can be a bit of pain.

For ease... I would recommend paying Difflock a visit - www.difflock.com shortcut - here

And, again to make it easier.... this tool

There will be people who say you can do the job with a breaker bar and a selection of drill bits to lock the injector pump and the flywheel...

But I'd rather pay my money and make the job as easy as possible for myself!!

The main problem, if you haven't got the difflock tools (or similar) is getting the damper pulley off if it's stuck... difficult to use a normal puller.

Another plus of the difflock kit....

You may find once the front cover is off, that your crank or cam seal is leaking... to get the pulley's off without a puller is 'very' difficult.

IMHO... the kit soon pays for itself - esp when you do a few jobs on the side!!

The other bit of kit you should have is here
Unless you've got a DTI and the correct extension... this tool allows you accurately set the injector pump - a job most people (even garages) don't bother with!!

Bits you'll need (IMHO)...

A new Cambelt
A new tensioner (often the old one will start squeaking if re-used)
A new seal/gasket for the front cover
New water pump seal
Some thread lock (to refit the damper bolt)
New Crank seals (inner and outer - you may not need them, but will be annoyed if you do... and you haven't bought them!!)
New Cam Seal (same reason as above)

Tool wise:

A viscous spanner (though you can use a small chisel and hammer)
Usual Sockets/Spanners Etc

You might also want a spare fan belt and PAS belt to hand.

Time wise....  I'd plan 6 - 8 hours if you haven't done one before.
