Vitara Roll Cage advice
« on: February 01, 2006, 21:33:08 »
Please can anyone out there help with advice regarding a roll cage for my SWB Vit.

I've just bought it and will be doing a Calmini 3" s/a lift kit (on the boat, on the way as I type), 1.5" body lift, 31's etc etc

I'm hoping to go external with the cage but have drawn a blank with regards getting the cage made.

As soon as I mention the words "roll cage" all the fabricators I've spoken to, run a mile.  Probably frightened of being sued etc

Rob at Rubbers will build a cage but needs to have the Vit for 5 days which is out of the question, Rhino Ray is too expensive for my budget.

So I'm stuck.  Please help.

Thanks in advance :)

It would be extremely difficult to have to go all the way from sleepy Norfolk and back, wait 5 days then all the way back bla bla

Where is Rob located, it doesn't say on his site?  I think its West Sussex but I'm probably wrong.

Anyway, I'll have to give him a ring and see if he can't get the cage part built before I go etc

Cheers for the advice so far, keep it coming  :)

Damon

You have a pm.

Just read your original post though.  I would think most fabricators would need your car for at least a week.

North Offroad are in Middlesbrough, they do nice work though, imho. :D

I think it would take them longer than 5 days but i could be wrong.

vits are interesting as they are shapely and make it differcult.

Liek most thing s , i tend to double the time period to avoid disappointment.

mine took , about 6 weekends
