rear lowererd top shock mounts

:Dhad these arrive yesterday aint gona have time to fit yet as she bit poorley set of rear lowered top shock mounts to compliment the dislocation cones or re-location cones lowers the shockers by a further 2 inches thus enabling the axel to droop a further 2 inches to keep traction to the wheels  as normal the quality is very good from scorpion racing

surely you already have bushes in your shocks?? If they arent duff why change them. I have never used poly bushes for them i just use procomp ones that came with the shocks.

:D i expect the ones i got with the delphi shockers are ok if needed i will change but only if needed they been on about 15 months so i just might change them as im expecting wear ..been offroading lots in past 15 months i got bigger problems at moment with bad oil leak from rear

Have you got longer dampers too? if so do the dampers bottom out before the axle hits the bunp stop with these mounts fitted? I've often wondered.....

these are on my list to along with the rest of the evolution kit, starting fitting my lift kit today, threads dont look to health om my shock mounts   :(

how much where they mate if you dont mind me asking?

thumbs, unless you are fitting cones dont bother with lowered mounts or you will keep popping your springs out at inconvienient moments

i was planning on getting dislocation cones, rear trailing arms and extended bump stops all at the same time as the lower shock mounts. wont be till next pay day though  :D

i use  2 inch lower rear shock mounts too.
when i put procomp +4 shocks on and the rubbers that came with them,they(the rubber bushes) were chewed in 4 weeks.
had polybushes on now for a while and no probs.the longer the droop the more acute the angle of the shock.hence chewing.

i use blue polybushes

:D im guessing that chewing ...is when the shocker is fully stretched and it bends the rod!in the shocker ...or am i miles away

there should be enough movement in the bushes..unless the shock is misaligned..if you bend the rod the shock wont be a damper for long!!!

If you look at the picture in the first post you should notice that the mounting for the top damper eye is at an angle, the rear dampers splay outwards from the chassis to the axle, so fit at the same angle.  When you have longer dampers and these are extended then that angle decreases, so the top bush particularly gets twisted between the eye and the bolt, where it gets pinched the rubber gets chewed away.

Out of interest, do the bottom rubbers get chewed up too?

the bottom ones are less likely as its a wide doughnut type as per standard fitment
