Cooling fans
« on: February 05, 2006, 18:02:55 »
I have a 16" Pacet fan in the garage, so I thought it better make its way onto the Disco, that way I could lose the viscose fan and claim my more efficient heater as a reward!

When I took the fron grille off to see if it would go in front of the Rad, I was confronted by a pair of 9" fans already in place.  Is this usual?  Do all V8 Disco's have both viscose and electric fans?

those will be the fans for the aircon rad, i had those on my v8 but i binned the aircon and have used the fans for cooling instead, you can still use the pacet but inside the rad instead of outside but check the way it draws air

my aircon didnt work so i binned it and also having it infront of the rad meant it seemed to collect mud and trap it, all i,ve done for the minute is fit the fans directly onto the front of the rad with some ties and rewired them to a toggle switch in the dash, at the minute it just means i have to watch the temp and switch them on manually but i will(hopefully ) get round to putting a temp switch in the system
