new tyres at last!!!
« on: February 10, 2006, 18:42:50 »
I've just been out to pick up some near new mud terrains for the sj. They are on daihatsu sportrak offset wheels and the tyres are 195/15 but look a lot bigger. All together they were only 70 quid which was good and they are 5. Will post some picces of it as it looks great now!!!    :D

It's the bar that if you look in photo 5 you can see it in between your bullbar mounts. It's bolted onto the front leaf spring plates and also on 2 places on the chassis inwards of the bullbar mounts. It limits the amount of articulation of your truck / makes it drive better when you only drive on the road. I've taken mine off and you don't notice any differance on the older SJs they didn't even have one.

No damage what so ever, 6 bolts I think and it's off if you don't like the way it feels bolt it back on  8)

Shackle lift is nice and cheap, I had a 2" shackle lift for a year on my old SJ the drives not that good on the road until you take up the play on the steering box ,then it's better but I wouldn't want to drive like it if it was my only car. It can get quite scary at times. If you really can't afford a body or spring lift then get a shackle lift but be very carefull on the road.

Can you get left springs which give the suzuki 2 inch lift. I've heard that you can but I'm not sure where to find them so I was wondering if you knew ???
