Can anyone please tell me if a 1989 rr chassis will fit under a 1971 rr body shell?

Yes, the changes were few.  The crossmember for the self-level was changed, the exhaust hangers are different and the boot floor supports are more numerous on late models.  AFAIK  all the body mounts are the same.

1971, not putting a tax-exempt on it are you?  you know the registration has to stay with the CHASSIS, not the body
