Need to replace a UJ...no tools to hand. Can anyone help?

Hello,

Just asking for a bit of help. Im too far away from my tools back home to nip and change my front propshaft uj on my 90. If i can get the prop off does anyone know of a garage that can change the Uj?

Im based in southampton so any help here would be appreciated :D

Where abouts are you?

In Soton Autotechnic (Totton) may help if its an emergency although they are VAG only usually. Failing that there is a Landrover Repair Place out at Wickham (Fareham Way). I Beleive Sholing Garage may be able to help too. PM Me if you want direcions etc.

Evil goat: Im on archers road, gateley hall (uni accommodation) Landy is more or less parked out side the landy dealership plastered in mud club stickers :D

Ay...seem to be loads of people in southampton. Would be cool to meet up or something?

Also seem to be loads in MK...kicking myself that i didnt find this place last summer

Going on a salisbury day out on saturday so would like it done for then but if i fail to get the prop off  :oops:  or dont have the time i guess ill have to put up with the knocking :roll:

One old socket that fits into the yoke and one that will let the yoke rest on it and let the spider go in to it, one hammer and something like snipe pliers to remove the circlips

Peel clips off and wallop the socket :wink:

yup thats how we did mine nice old socket and a larger hammer :) worked a treat  :P

although i did have to buy the circlip pliers  :cry:
