Sad to hear that Linda Smith died today aged 48.  For me she was the greatest comedian around.

Isn't it annoying how it's always the best ones?  I was gutted about Kirsty MacColl too.

A genuinely funny lady who relied on a strong wit, warmth and a profound depth of knowledge. Never used a catchphrase in her life - she was talented enough not to need one.

cheers

She always struck me as being a down-to-earth type of person. A quality (among others) what will be be sadly missed.
