Steering Guard and Jate Rings?
« on: February 28, 2006, 22:30:51 »
Does anyone use a Steering guard in conjunction with Jate rings.

Always used jate rings but this will be the first time i would be looking to buy a Steering guard.

Or should i just whip them off and use a Steering guard with Recovery eyes, i know that is the simple option but i like Jate rings, got them back and front

You can't use the forged JATE rings as they won't fit around the tank guard AND chassis.  i have the Discoparts one which are longer anyway which is handy, I bent them out slightly so they fit.

I had to take my Jate ring off when I got my steering guard as they would not fit. I got a guard with eyes in them.

i've got a Rebel steering guard fitted. i then wanted to fot front jate rings, after looking at paddocks/ craddocks for the larger jate rings i had to get them from offroad4x4 i think it was as Digsit told me that was where he got his from!!!
