Hi I've got an overdrive and it wont go in :( It goes in and connects but pokes out by about 1cm. I've tried all the"procedures" in the instructions to no avail. Any thoughts?

just something i seemed to remember from when i fitted mineis make sure the lock tab for the centre nut is trimmed otherwise it can obstruct the gear?
Also it may not be properly engaged with the gear, they can be a right pain in the ****!
Is it a brand new one, if not just make sure there aren't any nicks or anything on the casing where it goes into the gearbox.
hope this helps and good luck mate :) :) :)

If you take the top plate off the top of the transfer box so that you can see the gears and then put the high low range lever into the middle (neutral position all will become nice and free, and whilst pushing on the back of the overdrive you can turn the gear through the hole in the top of the transfer case.
Hope that helps.

Sounds silly i know and i assume you know all this but, there is a cog thing you have to change in some boxes to make it fit in with the other gears i assume you have done this.
Sad but true without pic's it makes it difficult to guess.
Either way hope you get it sorted.
