On one of the other forums I told you that I thought I'd seen your 90 dropping wood chippings off next door to some friends of ours. You stated there were 2 similar 90's in the village.
I was passing through your locale this morning on my way to check the condition of Cheesegate Nab/ScaleyGate amongst others.
At about 10:00 I had a look (where you roughly said) as I went past.
Is that your abode then with the 90 in the drive & the Reeds-Rains 'For Sale' sign up?
What a pity!, it looks very nice.
I still quite fancy living out there, but now we're on the verge of moving into our new one (not as much garden as you though, & no garage :x - for now)
Just out of interest (if it is yours) 'PM' me the web-page if 'R/R' have one for it & I'll let you have a sneak preview (& pics) of our new house.
Scaleygate is looking the worse for wear now.
I parked at the top and walked down, as it's quite a while since I've driven it & wasn't too sure of the condition.
I think a Discovery would get to the last hair-pin, but not through it (not with a spoiler & tow-hitch) as the wash-out on the bend is rather deep. I also drove around to the bottom for a nosey, but didn't bother venturing up the track as the tow-hitch would dig in & anchor me in (knowing my luck)

Very nice indeed. Nice size. Don't know the first thing about the area tho' I take it it's ok round there? Not that you'd move there if not I suppose. :oops:

It's not bad, as good as anywhere else I suppose.
What I (we) will miss is the view here, as I type I can see;
Pontefract water-tower (where the 'Plague Stone' is)
Barnsley -as far as the Hospital (not too sure about that though)
The windmills up on Dearne Dyke Lane.
Holme Moss
Saddleworth Moor
And from the back across Leeds as far as Cookridge.
At the end of the lane;
past the 'Xscape' at Castleford towards Snaith
All 3 power-stations (FerryBridge, Eggborough & Drax)

Nice. Only veiw we have is the cricket pitch at the back. Fine, if you like that sort of thing.
Went up Cheesgate nab this afternoon. Nice lane, bit dodgy in places but nothing too bad. Can safely say you wouldn't get far in a disco with towing tackle however. Forgot the camera so I s'pose I'll just have to go back up. Ho hum.
