12 points away from it and intending to keep it that way.
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

Still 12 points away from it, guess Its because my boss' 2.5n/a 90 that I use couldn't break the speed limit if it tried. Plus theres no speed cams anywhere near here :D  :D  :D .

I managed 15 points in 9 months with GSXR 750.
Managed to keep licence but had big fine. :(
Had to go reallllllly careful for few years but at least had licence.
I had sold the bike prior to court appearence which may have helped.
I said I would lose my job if I lost my licence . True as I would not have been able to get there.
Boss wrote a letter for me too saying I was star employee.
I had only been there 2 weeks ! what a star. He left a month later and new boss was a pain so I left and never looked back.
Shame as I enjoyed the job and place. Shame he spoled it.
Anyway I digress.
Always plead exceptional hardship( loss of livelyhood).
I have done it twice.
Had clean licence for 6 years now though.

I read about a guy in the paper either last week or week before..........he had wait for it.......... 42 points on his license and was still allowed to drive. Who he got to insure him is a mystery to me but the courts kept just giving him fines and points instead of banning him as he claimed "it would cause hardship". This guy is soooooo obviously a repeat and compulsive offender yet they do nothing about him   I personally have never had any points and have only ever been stopped once so I am really lucky

no points here as

a) I know where all the fixed cameras are localy
b) I very rarely see any patrol cars round here to pull me if I do speed.

10 years ago I was always getting stoped on the bike (at least once a month). Never prosicuted just to check for tax, warning about something or other or to check my insurance.
Past ten years never been stopped. Only instance of dealing with the police in that time was when a drunk crashed into the side of our parked car. He legged it and the police were more interested in checking our insurance and road tax rather than chasing him.

I passed in March 1983 & not had a single point added since.

I've been given the "Is this your car Sir?" once.
It was about 1987/88 & the girlfriend (now SWMBO) & myself were parked up in Settle in the car-park under the railway viaduct, there used to be a LRdealer in there as well.
It was about 05:00 in the morning & we were on our way to Morecambe to visit some friends who were at Lancaster University & we were making Tea from a flask

Had a few points in the past, had them removed when I could - mostly from motorcycling though. Recently sold my latest bike - Husky 360 - awesome bike, tricky as feck on the road though, too skittish, and bought myself the Niva another vastly underated go anywhere machine but a lot more stable than 2 wheels!! Currently SORN, undergoing a few mods.
If it doesn't work hit it with a hammer - if that doesn't work get a bigger hammer.
