I tried to undo the panhard rod the other day as I am making an adjustable one and it was seized so figure I will cut that one off. I also dont like re-using nylocks and they are 20 years old. I was just supprised at how much they were but I suppose when you break it down they are reasonable. Would like to do better.

I only use them on one thing at once... does that count ?

that £40 probably aint that bad given the sizes of some of those. The A frame ones to chassis in particular. And remember these will be the spot on correct ones

you'll probably spend £40 in time, diesel , postage and phone calls tracking them down from fasteners providers....and fit slightly wrong sizes and you'll notice it.

Been there , done that etc...

It's not just the size that matters.

Don't forget the bolts strength and the materials there made from, also count.

"how many people only use them once"
Would you leave a locking washer off ! Nylocks lock the nut and once used have had a thread cut so are effectively normal nuts. I used to work on the trains and in the aircraft industry and all nylocks removed were scrap. I would use one in a non safety critical instance but not on suspension. I dont fancy having a radius arm pop out at 60mph and jack the vehicle over !
