F'ing Thieves and Vandals.
« on: March 16, 2006, 06:38:55 »
Good Morning everyone. I hope your morning is going better than mine.

There are not enough swear words in the English language to describe the persons who decided to put a lump of concrete through my disco passenger window at 4:30 this morning.

Not only have they smashed the window but the concrete hit the indicator stalk smashing that causing the lights to come on full beam (roof lights and all) the concrete has then bounced off the instrument binnacle, so thats got a big sratch on it, its smashed my CB microphone and put a massive scratch in the air vent. Then they have tried to pull the work light off the back as they ran off.

They also had a go at 5 other cars, before setting my alarm off (which must have scared them off as they dont appear to have searched my Disco).

The police dispatched a car at 4:45, dont know where they dispatched it from but its still not here. Nice to see my tax money hard at work there.

So I guess this is going to cost at least £100 to sort out. And I cant drive the car unitil I get a new indicator switch.

How Happy I am.

On a lighter note,

Paul I picked up your propshaft last night. If I get hold of the person who caused the above I may put it to good use

If it's anything like our Police it'll have been dispatched via a "detour" past the nearest pub...

Hope there caught anyway, nasty damage.

Ive got to get my latest crappy policing story off me chest:
Next door nighbours missus driving home 7:00 pm ish, gets it a bit wrong on the country lanes and smacks her 54 plate fiesta thru a tall concrete fence post, upside down into a ditch.
She phones cops, tells em shes trapped upside down in her car, bit bruised etc, then calls her other half.
Her other half drives 3 times up and down the road she had described, cant find her(its dark), but luckily some lads in a Daihatsu Fourtrack playing on the nearby pit site spot her car and go for a look(hoping to blag some parts of it I guess.
They find her in the car, drag it onto its wheels and recover her, they are then spotted by her Boyfriend, who stops and helps.
They then call the cops to tell them they have got her out etc, and the cops tell them:
'We havent despatched a car to you, we never do in a single car incident........'

Good job she was found eh?

I feel for you mate, but dont hold any hope out for the cops either coming, or catching the culprit.

Ps. They will be straight round if you get handy with the propshaft.lol

Go on....cut me in half........it says SUZUKI all the way thru the middle!!

Mark I hope you find and catch who did it, probably a couple of drunks pretty local to yourself. They say most criminals work close to home.

Cheers everyone.

I ordered a new indicator stalk thingie from mm4x4, £44 with next day delivery, had to get one as the old one was totally knackered so car not roadworthy.

I am insured with Adrian Flux, who prefer to use the RAC window service. Who, quite frankly, are crap. After I rang their 24 hour "emergency" service @ 0600 I was informed that thier Reading office would ring me when they opended at 0830. I rang them @ 1000 as no one had rang me. tonight they fitted a perspex window to "secure the car" as they didnt have a Disco windo in stock. The perspex is held in by jungle tape, and has a 2 inch gap between the perspex and the window frame!!!!

Richie_EB4 - I will be looking for the drivers side (center) air vent if you have it?

Jake - thanks for the offer but see above. No I am not going, I am moving house that weekend!

Phil, I can get by till the morning, be here early with the wagon on the 31st, cant wait to get outta here
