Well the tasteful application can be attributed to muddyweb. I cant take any credit for that  :D

The wolf intake is coming off tomorrow and a snorkel is going on. I am going to see if I like the snorkel and if so the wolf intake is heading towards ebay I think.

Ben

just had quick look thru your pics pages ... some good uns in there

I must admit to liking the look of the wolf intake but cant really see the advantge of it.   Is it just an extra filter or something?

Should fetch a few quid on ebay though.

Glad Tim done a good job on your stickers, no doubt a much better job that I did with mine , theyre falling off letter by letter!  it says something like ww . ud-cl  b.c m at the moment.

I am not quite sure how the wolf intake is meant to work. As I understand it the military fit one to either side so as long as one wing is out the water it will breath through that side. I will take some more pictures of it once I have it off.

WIth regards to the tyre size they are 35x12.5x15's

I think to fit them to a series would be a fair bit of work as you need a 2" filt on a 90 to stop them fouling.

Thats a series 3 on parabolics running 32" simex extreme trekkers which I guess is about as far as you can go without doing serious work.

Also with a 2.25 diesel or 2.25 petrol in a series you would be lucky to do over about 40 with 35" tyres cause of the over gearing

Nice looking motor Ben, but I must say the Wolf intake does look like a door entry system :)

It will look much better with a snorkel I'm sure :D

And if the 32" on the series does that sort of thing to your steering, I would recommend 'steering' clear of anything near that size :D

Put some piccie son of it with the snorkel then we can have a vote on which is better looking :)
If I could only find some mud to play in, I would be as happy as the preverbial pig!!!

Ben, a 750 is more or less a 32 inch tyre. Depending on brand of course.

Many SWB series have 750s fitted and the LWB left the factory with them on.

I didnt realise that about the tyre size. ET 2's are true 32".

Finally the Wolf intake is gone and the Snorkel is fitted. I also stuck on some spots today.

Really glad I took the wolf off as it showed that the pipe that goes onto the back of the intake in the wing isnt on properly. The snorkel currently is just bodged on as it all needs taking off and sealing up properly. My first impressions would be that I prefer it with the snorkel on. With a safari snorkel I think it would look better again. Next job is to do something about the holes in the wing.

The wolf intake doesnt really bring much to the party except it has a large particle filter in it. I think it will find its way onto ebay shortly.

I am very pleased with the spots, its amazing how much light they give off for something so small. I cant wait for tonight so I can go out and try them  :D

Ben

Which make of spots are they?

I'm looking at getting a light bar for the roof and they look like what I would want to fit (small and unobtrusive).

They are PIAA 1000X spots

http://www.piaa.co.uk/lamps/lampshow.asp?ID=1000X

Very nice bits of kit. You get some amazing wiring setup for them with switch and everything. I couldnt find anything else with the sort of output you get from them at that size.

Nice to see you have made exactly the same mistake everyone makes Ben, me included.

Your snorkel is too high! you will be sick of bashing it on trees before too long :)

Drop it down to screen level, if the water is that high you are stuffed anyway!

Will :)

Your quite right Will, When I was playing at Burnworthy last Saturday it proved itself to be a pain in the arse. Its probably a temporary item anyway as I am still planning to fit a cage. At this point I will probably get a southdown one which looks less intrusive.
