this weekend when went to baslow near ashborn is was a nice weekend we went to ladybower rez and chatsworth house nice places the cottage we stayed in was nice had a log fire nice rooms went out for 2 meals both very nice

Looks like you had a good weekend Matty.

Spent many a Summer Sunday in the Chatsworth grounds a few years ago, lovely place. :D

When I was at school, I did a sponsored walk round Ladybower. Its bigger than it looks!! :shock:

Derwent Valley is a lovely area, glad you had a good time
If you go again & are on (dare i say??) decent Mountain Bikes, try Cut-Gate at the very northern end of the valley.
It starts at 'Slippery Stones' & goes up, & up, & up...

I'm going to zip up my anorak now :roll:
The dam you picture is Derwent, did you notice the 617Squadron memorial?? (it's on the dam you pictured)
Ladybower is the big one at the bottom that the main road passes over & commences from the visitor centre
