Scorpion Racing fuel tank guard.

I'm wanting to remove and sell my fuel tank guard.

Can anyone tell me who has perhaps recently fitted one if the rear bumper has to come off?
I think I'll have to drop the anti-roll link bar though?

Mine was a southdown guard, i had to drop the arb, and remove the rear bumper.

The southdown guard attaches to the two towbar bolt positions behind the bumper and the two on the rear chassis legs.

If its anything like the southdown have a jack on the leading edge cos Id guess it would be damn heavy.

Been at the hospital all day. The baby has turned and is now in the breech position, not totally good news but scan revealed all is still well.

We (well the wife) had our little girl 9 weeks ago. Hope it goes well for you. My wifes labour was 72 hours from established labour ! :shock:
She was knackered.
Our friend had hers today after 57 hours !! :shock:
Just pray yours is less. Its a long old time of holding hands and saying the right thing ! :lol:
I have not heard back yet but will let you know what he says re tank guard !

If it's the same as my Scorpion guard then it's held by the tank strap mounting bolts. So no the bumper doesn't need to be removed. You'll need to support the tank unless the fixings were modified when it was fitted.

I modified mine so that the guard can be removed without affecting the tank.

You will have to remove the rear bumper by the sounds of it.
When i fitted my Southdown tank guard i put a spare wheel underneth and jacked it into position.
I had to remove it a couple of months later and i supported it using my knees.
Worked a treat

Well tank guard is off.

Had to remove bumper and drop down the detachable tow hitch though. And no-one mention that I needed to refit the fuel tank cradle which I have'nt got  

So one SR fuel tank guard for sale, may consider taking off the detactable tow hitch too if someones got a standard tow hitch as part of deal?

Oh and no baby yet and with the motor out of action until I can secure the fuel tank I'm not in the best of books.

I did'nt realise you had to remove the fuel tank suppert prior to fitting the SC one
