Thermostat
« on: March 25, 2006, 17:01:32 »
:?:  :?:  :?:

Hi all,

I've had my 110 for about 18 months now. Everytime I've used it (daily) the temp gauge has gradually moved up to just over half way but never further.

Recently things have changed - nowadays it barely moves off the cold mark (but it definately does move up a little). The engine does not appear to overheat and the heater still blows air as hot as ever. I've checked the coolent level and all is fine.

Should I be worried???

Cheers,

David

I would change the thermostat as it's cheap and probably what you need to do! It does the engine no good to run cold all the time and the fact that the heater blows hot means little IMHO.

:(  :(  :( UPDATE --- UPDATE --- UPDATE :(  :(  :(

I'm now getting through coolant much faster and horror of horrors I think its coming out of the flamin exhaust (no, the exhaust is not on fire!!).

Does that mean the cylinder head gasket??? What are the other options??

if its the gasket should I keep running it and what's it gonna cost me??

Thanks,

David
