Hmmm, let's see...

For food, the Tair Bull in Libanus (a few miles West of Brecon on the A40) is quite good.  As is the Old Ford in Llanhamlach (a few miles East on the A40 is also very nice.  A bit of a longer drive is the Maeslwch Arms in Glasbury (bit of a way out though, but very nice).  If you just fancy a takeaway pizza, I can heartily recommend La Belle Pizza on Church Lane.  If Mark, the owner is there, tell him Huw sent you.

Places to drink in town, hmm.  Many of the places are a bit rowdy, but nice places include the George (on George Street, funnily enough).  The front bar of the Boar's Head (down by the river) is quite nice too.  The Gremlin used to be alright, as was the place opposite it, but I can't remember the name right now.

Things to see, hmmm... Well, there's mountains.  Lots and lots of them!  Dan yr Ogof caves are about a 40 minute drive away, and make for quite a good day out.  If it's wet, the South Wales Borderers museum is quite a good way to kill a few hours.

Any guesses where I grew up?

Hi did you go to Brecon? If so, could you forward on any details of routes, grid refs, mem map overlays etc.

Were planning a trip soon and any advice would be apprecaited!
