Me and Rolla went to Assen a few years back, partied that hard we slept through the first race...red hot day. Then left just as the second race finished.
Did 160+ for about 5 mins solid! 2 up on Rollas old bandit!( it won the suzuki dyno shoot out on the IOM in 2000 154 bhp without gas and double tonne with!!!)
Top laugh.
didnt see the race today but watched the Gp instead...Rossi a hero as always. came in 14th with no right footrest(no rear brake) and a broken front brake lever...he was 35 seconds down on last place when he got back on.....awesome!

Agreed, I remember the British round (in 2003?/2004?) wasn't it Bayliss who 'dropped it', fought his way up to about 5th, 'dropped it' again & still finished in the top3?

On a 2-wheeled note, my bedtime reading this week is one of the 'Ogri' books (vol 2)

i think baylis is one of the best riders ever (dangerous words i know)
first heard of him as a 250 wild card (at philip island?) showed a lot of good riders how to ride

the clip of him going through the chicane is a classic clip often shown on bike and Baylis related programs 8)  8)  8)  8)  8)  8)  8)  8)  8)  8)  8)
