I am finding it very hard to get bolt on goodies for my Rav4 1/2...in the main I want a back fold down step...and have seen one in the Land Rover Magazines (and I might add probably the best 4X4 mags on the shelves)...I need your help!!! where can I buy bits for my 4X4 or do I need to modify everything...my car is perfect for what I want it for but I would like to customise it a little why should everyone else have all the fun..all advice and help appreciated.

The 4x4 mags tend to have accessories for the more popular 4x4's, by which I mean the Landies/Shoguns/Suzukis, most of the Rav4's never see more than a bit of grass at the side of the road, and so do not have such a big market in accessories........ but they are out there  :D

I think I've seen stuff for yours in the formula 4x4 catalogue

I'm sure there will be other places, somebody must know  :?

Formula are well worth a call.  They should have plenty of bits for the Rav4

Ive seen the bits in Formula4x4 and the other mags and you are right, I dont suspect that toyota thought that the car would ever be off-roaded... but mine does and it is a very good off-roader...I am not talking serious rock climbing, but the land I shoot over is very boggy, lots of ruts and rubble...and all farm tracks over fields and forests...all this and touch wood I have not been stuck...I have good tyres and the lockable diff facility on the dash and it does its job. Thanks anyway for the pointers...I will just have to modify the Freelander bits I have seen.
