Ok guys a good one for you.

Following on from 2 clunks i went ot get Old Joe today from the garage and i was went to pull of i noticed that the horn, stereo,  lights side, main and full beam not working.

after a lot fiddling and the ctr console removed as there was another flt there.

what could be cause for loosing the above lights. i have brake reverese and indicators and hazzards.

any suggestuions i'm planning on replacing the indicator stalk and checking the ctr console for any possible loose wires.

More than likely its a dodgy earth strap either to the engine or the bodywork.  Been quite a few similar posts recently all with similar things not working.

Have a search around, the earth straps seem to be the common thing.

you're right mate works like a dream nearly all 4 had corroded so we have put choc blocks on each until i get some mega amp fuses which size shouyld i get?

I'd check the wiring diagram, as they should show the fusible links in the wiring looms.

If you can't find the info, add all the circuits up on each wire and that's the theoretical maximum of the circuit. However, if the info. is not readily available, I think a 40Amp on each circuit with a view to possibly uprating them if they blow would be satisfactory.

But if it catches fire I didn't tell you that ok!  :shock:  :twisted:  :lol:
