If you have your car 'on show' then you have to listen to some 'muppets' and their comments!!

I've got a 1968 Mini Cooper which I take to shows etc during the summer, you always get some 'NO LIFE's' saying stuff like, 'They didn't fit those window hinges to THAT year car' SO!!! It's my car, WHO CARES!!!!

But, it is worth asking the what they drive!!!! :lol:

well mines matt black, 90 doors and looks dog rough..but i dont care cos its ongoing, as its going to have a 2.5td and 90 front end fitted!!
may well be matt black again, or rollered in one of dulux's finest!!
all i can say is that it saves me £170 a year as its tax exempt, and how many wannabe jap 4x4's will be around in 34 years time?

My hybrid has been trashed by loads of people and not unlike Bezzabsa my motor is also matt black and tax free.

Point is i don't actually care what people think of my motor it competes and doe VERY well indeed and has been featured in at least one mag centre pages for it's ability on the RTI thing at Gaydon a couple years ago.

We all own what are essentially unique motors enjoy them and ignore the 'wannabe' and the 'betterthan' and 'dreamers' because well they are just simple folk.

THEY need to get a grip and realise that even if i do fit a 1000watt stereo system in my motor powering 12 speakers and it might make my ears bleed but it don't affect them in any way shape or form, i might want a winch on the roof because i think it looks great it might not work it moght not be any use i might want to stick pink horns on it too it makes no difference i did it i own it i pay the bills for it so i don't care what people think.

this'll make you laugh, i was looking at your photo gallery after reading this thread to get a look at your disco, BTW i think it looks like the biz, and my big brother, just turned 20, not that interested in 4x4's came and looked over my shoulder....

Just thought you'd find that amusing, like others have said, it's your car not theirs, if they don't like it then they can drive home in their BMW's safe in the knowledge that they have a better car than you (NOT!!!   8) ).

Ali dude ur truck is the mutz nutz and u know it and we know thats all that counts, and i think somone said it earlier its jealousey of the worst kind!!!! i have had a few comments about mine etc etc but like many people they will never come and say it to ur face and discuss it !!! so anyway Ali when we getting together are u coming to gecko 4x4 day so i can slate ur motor :lol:  :lol:  :lol:   (just kidding)

from a distance mine looks ok, get up close and its a bit rough round the edges to say the least, but who cares not me, like you say, i build my vehicle for me and know one else.
who would want to 'show' a vehicle anyway, not daring to drive it or enything.
my friends think iam bonkers coz i have allways said im gonna build it then thrash it. its there to be enjoyed, anyone who dont like it can do one!!

hi fingers. saw the beast for the first time on sat at old sodbury. WOW!!!! its fantastic mate. who gives a rats a**e about what others think. mine looks half like shed but thats what i like about her. you've put a lot of time and effort into the disco let alone the cash side and as long as your happy stuff them.
