Why would you want to???

Any Defender after 1994 (P reg would be 1997) has a disk braked rear axle as standard, so would you want to swap for an older Range Rover one???

As it happens, would be a straight swap though.....

virtually the same then....

Though at the front you will need the range rover radius arms and a Defender drag link and track rod.... RR has a different steering damper mounting compared to a Defender (and you'll want the 'better' Defender set-up)

Also front calipers.... RR ones may be twin feed (i.e. two inputs) rather than the Defender single feed.  Easiest would be to get a set of defender calipers.... there are other ways around this though.

Not necessarily

If you fit 110 rear spring seats and get a custom prop RR axles will also fit (the rear of) a 110.
