Be wary Daz.

You will be assimilated.

Seriously though everyone must have something they enjoy beside Off roading, wimmin, computers etc.

Personally I enjoy virtually every spectator sport from creeket (a la Geoff Boycott), Touring car, formula 1 (getting boring though these days I remember when they used to actually race each other), Footy, rugby (only the international stuff though). I used to love going to Speedway, stock car and Banger car racing.

I suppose footy becomes more interesting if/when you can recognise the skill and that there's more to it than kicking a pigs bladder round a field.

I'm just not a fan of spectator sports,  playing them is one thing, but just watching people is boring to me regardless of whether it involves skill or not.

Besides, when we only have four channels why are we required to have three of them occupied with sport?  especially when two of them are the same stuffing sport

You'll have to get assimilated by $ky Daz.
Spoilt for choice then. Some of it just different cr@p.
The Documentary channels are worth it though.

I meant to ask you Andy, can I come to work with you & watch the waste gloss paint congeal 'cause there's nothing but b*@dy f**tball on TV

And they're mostly talking about it at work & that's the (female) Nurses!, let alone the patients & Paramedics

So please...let me come & watch the paint dry (far more interesting)

I understand that  'thicko Beckham' & the English gang has lost, wonder how many of the 'false-patriots' will still be flying flags tomorrow

Ooh Richard harsh words there  :(

OK not everyones cup of tea, fair enough.

But surely it's good that the recent events in Portugal have united the country so much, thousands watching in cities across the country on big screens, millions more at home.

We should'nt be too quick to knock or mock such national pride and unity.

Or is that only set aside for millions of people dying in WAR  :?:

And now they've lost thousands of people will be getting drunk, fighting in the pubs - kicking the metaphorical '7Bells' out of each other & generally making other people suffer (walking home at 02:00 shouting & bawling)

Glad I'm not at work tonight - finished at 22:00, but back at 05:30

Then...... 4days off :D  :D

Bro-in-law asked me if I'm going to the 'Rhino Rally' at Tong.

Well there is a small minority that might, and there is no excuse for it, but on the whole most fans behave themselves.

the trouble is that whilst they might have been united for the last two weeks they'll immediately revert to the same people they were before it all started, at best it's incredibly fickle.

what really bothers me is that everyone at work is going to be in a really really bad mood, they're going to be tempremental, argumentative and likely spend all day discussing how they were "robbed" on IRC.  So, basically they're gonna do sod all work.   Yet *somehow* this is acceptable because we lost a football game?  It's not like a relative has just died, it's only a game.  You don't see me moping around the office yelling "we was robbed" everytime I lose a trial, or get stuck at the weekend.

If you're not prepared to lose, you shouldn't even play.

(this is all IMHO of course, and in some ways an over generalisation, but hey ho as it were.  I guess I just don't understand the hysteria :? )

Counted virtually none on the way to work - however yesterday you couldn't see for the stupid things.

Told you it was false patriotism. So when are we going to see that ineffectual loser Beckham burned at the goal post?

England were knocked out of the cup by the Swiss.
It might as well have been Mike Myers refereeing the match.

He didn't have a clue. The Portuguese defender crippled Rooney and the ref gives a free kick to Portugal.
The goal that wasn't a goal. Well...
The Ref will never need to buy a meal in Portugal again after last night.
Fancy letting him know your opinion?

Thought the Dutch would do it myself.

Agree Czech's in the final as well and will probably win it, best team I've seen whole tournment.

On another note sorry Tim Henman went crashing out of Wimbledon today totally out classed  :(

Saw the first set and Tim seemed to be on the verge of breaking his serve but each time the Croatian managed to hold his serve and after that it was downhill as Henman was outclassed.
The will to win didn't seem to be there.

I had to smile at Annabel Croft as a pundit on the BBC. What has she ever won other than Treasure Hunt?
