can u program a 2nd hand key fob yourself or does it need to be done buy a specialist.Its for a landrover discovery 300tdi and its a factory fitted alarm cheers for any info.

tried the instructions from the workshop had a few strange looks from the neighbours can't get it to work my key fob has 2 buttons is there a key fob with just 1 button

yeh there are to different types of fob,

2 button 1's & a single button fob

IIRC the single button fob was used on the RRC & early discos,for post 94 discos should be the 2 button fob,without access to the correct software i cant check & be 100% sure
