Is it possible to change the front end of the series three with that of the 90 . you see some conversions but there is not much talk about it . I know that the mechanics will still be a series 3 but could you get the looks of the ninety .It is not that I have a series 3 but I am planning on getting a 90 and then modifying it for a bit of {low cost off Roading }Feel free to state the obvious .

Not every problem can be solved with duct tape, and it's exactly for those situations we have WD 40

The 90 wings should fit on a Series 3, you'll need to change the radiator panel, etc. for the full effect. It won't be quite as strong as the front end of the 90 unless you do a little fabrication as the slam panel of the 90 bolts down to the front crossmember.
Changing the bonnet is an easy job with the grille done, but the screen is a whole other job. You can't just fit a 90 windscreen to a Series motor as the top of the screen and way it connects to the roof are totally different.
Many of the 1 piece screens you see on Series vehicles are just a replacement glass section with the centre bar removed.
The 90 windscreen is around 1.5 - 2" taller than a Series screen, so it still doesn't look quite right from the front.
I'm fairly sure that Series wings won't fit on a coiler due to the inner wings being different to accomodate the front turrets. Whether the Series outer wing would fit on it's own I'm not sure.

doors backwards were 2a, with a 2a tub and hard top on it, so rear arches were original

That's a good point actually... the wheel arch cut outs are a totally different shape.
If you put the full 90 wing on there, you really need to wheel arch spats on it, else there is a great big gap between the inner and outer wings.....
That said, if you have a Series 3, you are used to great big gaps

The Bullbar normally fits to the chassis, so should be independant of the bodywork. You *should* be able to fit one, as the bumper mountings are similar.

there is no noticable difference between a ninety and a series bullbar. They usually bolt atop the bumper and whilst there is some difference in the bumper mounts I have yet to see this get in the way of putting a 90 bullbar on a series.
Then again, why are you fitting a bullbar anyhow :?

It's not hard to do., but as others have mentioned the grille panel needs a bit of engineering to get it mounted securely. The wings will fit (sorry no photos of the one I have done) but probably weren't worth the effort. Photos of my (rather rough) Series II with 90 grille/bonnet can be seen at
