1)...Metallica - Nothing else matters----classic timeless
2)...Iron Maiden - Phantom of the opera--what an intro!!!!
3)...Green day  - Basket case-------teenage angst (bit late tho'   )

Not really fair to say top 3, as its always changing..plus with over 6000 albums in my collection choosing 3 tracks is nigh on impossible....but have to say that those 3 are usually on any compilation i put together ;)

U2 - Bullet the blue sky
Bjork - Oh so quiet
Tracey Chapman - Fast car (saw her live in Glasgow and she was brilliant)

Who said I have ecclectic tastes???

Also have to agree with the Undertones, Teenage Kicks... The late great John Peel had that one spot on. Fergal was good solo too. Got one of his albums and it makes excellent chill out music.

Playing at present in my disco is a compilaton that I made up of my favourite tracks by

LED ZEPPELIN

The first three tracks are

1.....Good Times Bad Times

2.....Dazed And Confused

3.....Communication Breakdown.

That bit of tape is being worn out................... with me
constantly rewinding to replay them.

3 I picked at random to listen to earlier this morning were;

'Tainted Love' Dave Phillips & The Hot-Rod Gang (best ever version of this well-known song. It's got guitars, not synths!!)

'Mountain Angel' Dolly Parton (from 'The Grass Is Blue' CD)

'Thunder Road' Bruce Springsteen & E-Street Band
Richard A Thackeray
Defender 110Td5 'Heritage Gone, but not forgotten
Jaguar XKR; X88 JLT, also 'gone, but not forgotten'

Yorkshire Born & Bred, and proud of it.
