Windscreens
« on: April 24, 2006, 18:13:52 »
I had a replacement windscreen fitted at Towcester on the Disco.
Because of the PIGS EAR "Manual" Windsreens made of the job it's been refitted today under warranty.
Guess what  :?:  :?:  :?:  :?:
It's now worse than ever.
The local branch manager has decided to junk the lot and start again.
He kindly said that they would replace it with a heated screen      (to keep me quiet)
Now retro fitting a heated windscreen is not as simple as you may think :!:  :!:  :!:
So to go with the light switches that don't work
I'll also have a heated windscreen that doesn't work

Anyone know a reliable auto electrician in the Coventry/Warks/Birmingham Area :?:  :?:  :?:  :?:  :?:

I've read all the posts regaurding the screen company i've used.
Trouble is Flux recommend them and the other lot weren't interested.

Milton Keynes Branch came to Towcester and fitted a new screen but fitted 2x left-hand screen trims  :?:  :?:  :?:

Enter Coventry Branch who refitted sceen with new seals but
Bonded screen in to motor without removing the backing from the side seals.
Loosened rear view mirror mounting so that it now wobbles.
Left the dashboared covered in more crap than usual.
Slit bottom screen seal with knife.
AND trashed the head lining.
So now that the nice branch manager has calmed down he's going to arrange payment for a new headlining fitted at the local Main Dealer......
£507-00 fitted and they want the screen out again to ease fitting  ](*,)  ](*,)  ](*,)
